Harry and Gloria’s Big Trip

On a bright Friday morning, Harry woke up early. As he jumps out of bed Gloria burst through the door and yelled, “HARRY HARRY! We’re going camping!”

“WE ARE?!” Harry shouted back.

“YEAH! Come on!”, Gloria exclaimed.

Both of the kids went downstairs and into the kitchen where they found their mom watching the news.

“What do you want for breakfast before we go to Yogi Bear Jellystone Campgrounds?” Mom asked.

“Pancakes!” they both exclaimed at the same time.

“Well ok, but just remember one day you will turn into one if you keep eating all these pancakes,” their mother said.

After they finished eating their pancakes, they headed upstairs to pack their stuff.

“What should I bring? Wait! I know what I should get, my Nintendo Switch!” Harry shouted.

“Great idea Harry!” Gloria said, “Now what should I bring besides my safety kit?”

“What about your camping gear; you and I could really use it,’’ Harry said.

After they finish packing, they got their sleeping bags and loaded all of their stuff. They pulled out of the driveway and started off toward the campgrounds. In the car, Harry started to read his favorite book series, The Notebook Of Doom. By the time arrived at Yogi Bear Jellystone Campgrounds he had finished three books. They looked for a nice place to set up their own personal tent. Once they found their place they started to set up. “I wonder what we’re going to see here?” Gloria asked.

“I don’t know,” Harry said. “We will just have to wait.”

They started to set up all their stuff and make a fire.

“What's for dinner?” Harry said.

“Not much, just my best pizza!!” said Mom.

“YAAY!! Pizza!” they shouted.

After they finished their dinner, they had to get ready for bed. Gloria put on her pink onesie and Harry put on his neon green pajamas.

“Dude, I can see you from a mile away with all that neon green clothing,” Gloria said.

“That makes it safe so if I get lost, people can see me.” Harry exclaimed

“Well okay, but it makes it easier for animals to see you too,” Gloria said.

“Gloria, we ARE animals, because humans are mammals.”

“Ohh,” Gloria realized.

As the two kids drifted off to sleep, they wondered what would happen if an animal came and snatched them. That kept them awake so instead, they just read their books. Harry read The Notebook of Doom and Gloria read Harry Potter And The Prisoner of Azkaban.

Toward the middle of the night, Gloria went over to Harry’s tent, “Harry, Harry!” Gloria whispered.

“What Gloria?” Harry yawned.

“I need to go to the bathroom; do you know where it is?” Gloria asked.

“Follow me,” Harry yawned.

As the kids headed off to the bathroom, their parents woke up and went to each of the tents and didn’t see them at all. They freaked out and immediately and called 911 and told them their kids were missing from the campground.

The kids made it back, and went back to check on their parents’ tent but they were gone!!!!! They wondered where they could possibly be.

“Harry, Mom and Dad are gone!” Gloria cried.

“What are we going to do?” Harry asked.

“We can try to find them.” Gloria said.

They started off into the woods. After the kids left, the parents came back to their camp grounds with a security guard, but  somehow the parents and the security guard didn’t see Harry and Gloria walk into the woods. Their parents decided to wait until they came back.

When they had no strength to carry them on, they tried to keep on moving, but finally fell asleep. In the morning they woke up and they had no memory of how they got to their location.

“Harry where are we?” Gloria asked, “How did we get here?”

“I don’t know Gloria,” Harry said yawning.

They started walking, but after a short distance they stopped in shock. They were frightened by what they saw. An old lady had walked out of the woods straight ahead of them.

“Hello Ma'am,” said Harry. The two kids, started to walk toward the lady; she started to move and then she stopped. She had a white dress that looked like it hadn’t been washed for years, and white long hair that fell to her shoulders. She had a dirty face and had 7 teeth left. Harry and Gloria shuffled nervously up to the lady, and decided to turn back... but suddenly the lady grabbed them both! The lady pulled them into an old shack and she put them into a tiny room and left the kids. The kids struggled to get out, but the next moment the door swung open, and the women they thought kidnapped them actually offered them cookies..

“Hello would you kids want some cookie?”

”Who are you?” asked Gloria.

“Who am I? Why, my name is Helen,” said the lady.“I never get visitors around here, so I don’t know how to act. I’m so sorry.”

“It's ok”, said Harry happily. The kids ate their cookies and then went down to play a board game with Helen. They played Monopoly Empire. “Wow Helen you are really good at this game!”

“Thank You, my dad taught me everything I know of this game,” said Helen.

“Well, he was good at it,” said Harry.

“You bet!” said Helen. When they finished their game, they had more cookies and watched the movie, Thor Ragnarok. “Look, Thor just became his father,” said Harry.

“How?” asked Gloria.

“Really, you can’t see that he lost an eye just like his dad?” exclaimed Harry.

“It’s also the same eye as his dad,” said Gloria. When the two kids went to go get some more cookies, they ran into a spider.

“AHHH, a spider!” shouted Harry.

“Harry, quit being a baby,” said Gloria bravely, ”It’s just a tiny...AHH!!!!!! That thing is ugly!”

“Now you know how I feel,” Harry screamed, frightened.

“Somebody kill this stupid ugly thing!” shouted Gloria.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa; what is going on over here?” asked Helen.

“There is an ugly spider next to the cookies!” shouted Gloria.

“Well then, I guess if you two are going to be a baby about it, I can kill it for you,” said Helen bravely.

At that moment, there was a knock on the cabin door. “This is Police!” said the police chief.

“Why are the police here?” asked Gloria.

“I don’t know Gloria,” Harry said, frightened. Then Harry and Gloria heard a voice frantically calling their names.

“Mom is that you!?” the kids shouted.

“Harry, Gloria!” said someone. Then the door burst down. The police came running through and Harry and Gloria’s mom and dad came through the door as well. The kids ran up to their mom and dad and gave them big hugs. Then Helen walked over to them. “Who are you and why did you take my kids!” Mom yelled.

“Mom this is Helen, she saved us,” said Harry.

“Really? Thank you so much!” balled their mom, crying happily. After the big misunderstanding, the kids decided to go back to their tents and bring Helen with them. They were going to have a big feast with lots of pizza.

After the camping trip, Harry and Gloria said goodbye to Helen and left. But they will visit her every weekend. Then everyone would be happy to be together!!
