Best Pets to Find

Did you know that approximately 6.5 million animals enter the U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year. Of those animals, approximately 3.3 million are dogs and 3.2 million are cats. That is way to many animals that do not have homes that people could be adopting instead of paying way to much for a breaded to get your perfect dog. Although people believe that getting a household pet from a breeder would be the best way to get a great pet, actually adopting a pet from a shelter is the best way to find the perfect furry friend for these reasons: it will cost you less, you will save numerous animal lives, help to stop puppy mills, and finely you will get a great pet.

Did you know that depending on the breeder or the type of dog the cost ranges from $500 up to $1500.  Just think that is on top of all the money it costs to get all of the exorcise like collar, leash, food, treats, bed, crate, and all of the toys. But, adopting a dog costs from free up to $250, that a big difference. Think of all the stuff that you could get in stead of just buying a very expensive dog.

Did you know that approximately 2.7 million pets from shelters around the world get killed a year because there is not enough room in shelters. But, when you get a pet from a breeder you are just having more animals in the world be created instead of getting the ones we all ready have. When you adopted a pet and take them home with you are not only giving the pet you are adopting a good home you are freeing a spot up in a shelter for a another pet to go instead of being killed. When you do this you are saving a pets life in multiple ways.

Did you know that most puppy mills are factory style breaking houses, that puts money ahead of the dogs welfare. A lot of the times they have to live in poor conditions with poor medical care and could become behaviorally troubled. They are usually very cruel to the dogs they are breeding. This is unfair to the dogs and the people that are having to buy the dogs when they are not trained and bad. But, if you buy from a shelter this will help stop people from going to these puppy mills and to start adopting dogs we already have. Also most of the times when you adopt the dog already comes house broken and are trained with a dog you get from a breeder you have to train yourself or pay to have trained.

In conclusion, when you adopted you are saving money, lives, and are helping to shut down puppy mills. Even though you might want a setter dog and are convinced you have to get it from a breeder, but  if you look at  the  Humane Society you might find that perfect dog. It will be hard to stop, but if we can start to donate money and buy more from the shelters we can together save multiple of our furry friends lives.
