The Ocean Poem

I hear loud noises

I walk to find it

I see the white caps

crash on the horizon

Ahead of me

I spot the beach

Sand on my toes

Birkenstock’s on my feet

The water is rising

I quickly jump in

I can not waste a minute

I have to go swim

Such a perfect day

Beautiful sun rays

The blue green water

It sparkles at me

The wave piles on top of me

I can’t see

I spit out salt

I can’t breathe

My body got a nice tan

The tide is getting low

Eight hours later

I think it’s time to go home
