Tranquility

by Alex A., Age 12 , Grade 7, CALIFORNIA

Tranquility looks like a fresh bud on a perfect daffodil poking through the snow. It feels like a soothing spring shower on a hot tiring day. Tranquility smells like a fresh sprig of celery at a time of great hunger; clean and pure and promising. Tranquility tastes like a handpicked organic salad grown in a caring person’s own back yard. It sounds like a chirping robin showing signs of the coming of spring. Tranquility makes me feel happy, strong, comforted, and makes me know that good times are soon to come.
