Poetry

Ripple Effects

by Chesley P., Age 14 , Grade 8, Morgan County Middle School, Madison, GEORGIA USA

Skipping stones.

Rocks. We are heartless.

Yet very emotional.

Thrown and skipped.

Disturbing the peace, destroying the harmony

Without a word.

Just a splash.

Repeat.

We are skipping stones.

Smoothed to perfection.

Sculpted to kill.

Made to leave and never apologize.

Never admit to your wrong doings.

Just blame it on everyone else

And skip out of tough situations.

Jump in.

Destroy.

Repeat.

Repeat.

Repeat.

You never change. Do you?
