The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis

by Matthew S., Age 14 , Helena, ALABAMA USA

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, by C.S. Lewis, was published in 1950 by C.S. Lewis Pte. Ltd.

The war had begun, and Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy (along with countless other children) were sent away from London because of the air-raids.  These particular children were sent to live with an old professor who lived in the country.  Lucy finds an old wardrobe, and through it, a magical world with talking beasts and an evil witch.

I recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It is a fun, well-written book with loveable characters and a great message of hope.
