Let’s Just Drive

By: Anna Fink

Let’s just drive

Let’s just drive away

Let’s just go somewhere far away

Let’s just go around the world and decide whether to come back

Let’s just drive

Let’s just drive

Let’s just drive so I can hear the soft purr of the engine

Let’s just drive so I can hear the sound of the car radio playing

Let’s just drive so I can hear the sound of the wind

Let’s just drive so I can hear the sound of the people

Let’s just drive

Let’s just drive

Let’s just drive all night so I can see the stars

Let’s just drive so I can see the sun rise and set with you

Let’s just drive so I can see a drive-up movie with you

Let’s just drive so I can see the fresh farmland

Let’s just drive

Let’s just drive

Let’s just drive and smell the leather on the seats

Let’s just drive and smell the ocean

Let’s just drive so we can smell the bonfire tonight

Let’s just drive so we can smell the crisp fresh air in the morning

Let’s just drive

Let’s just drive

Let’s just drive and feel the wind in our hair

Let’s just drive and feel the soft rain on our faces

Let’s just drive and feel the bumps in the road

Let’s just drive and feel our hands on each other’s faces, looking into each other's eyes

Let’s just drive

Let’s just be done driving

We’ve seen, smelled, and felt the world

Now it’s time to go home

We’ve had our share of love and beauty

Now it’s time to go home

Let’s just be done driving
