The Man In Black

by Alanna, Age 13 , Grade 7, St. Francis of Assis, Louisville, KENTUCKY USA
Teacher: Mrs. Reinhart

I felt trapped
I was attacked
Sitting alone
No one was home
This unfamiliar house
I didn’t even know that mouse
As i lay
I realized he was gone for the day
The man in black
Soon came back
He watched me cry
His eyes were dry
He was calm
As i call for my mom
His face was hidden with lace
He had no face
He pulled of the cover
His face was just flubber
His eyes dark with sin
He left, i cried again.
