Astronomy

by Rhianna N., Age 15 , Grade 9

If only I was made as gorgeous as the stars in which I’ve been made out of.

I pray for the hemoglobin racing through my veins would

paint me in all the colors of the galaxy and

spin me into an ungodly fire

that cannot be tamed

I want to be painted pretty

my hair woven of golden twine and bones made of an element

that even Cassiopeia would

admire

I want to feel cosmogyral with

the heat and passion

and drive

of all the planets and comets and stars

please sew me together and make me prettier than the night sky

please love me like you’ve never been held

by a supernova in mid explosion
