You Will Never Know

You Will Never Know

A blustery night it is, you see.

Inside is nothing but misery.

Yes, you are right on the money,

It is sunny outside.

But that is not what I mean.

You don’t know what I mean.

I live a cursed life of sorrow.

You may think that I am glad,

But inside I am really sad.

You may think of myself I’m proud,

But inside of me lives a grieving crowd.

I may seem upbeat and gleeful,

But I’m actually hardly that.

You don’t know who I am;

You will never know.

I live a cursed life of sorrow

You may try to understand,

To decrypt my life.

But you can’t.

Don’t you see

What you’re doing to me.

You don’t know.

I live a cursed life of sorrow.
