Dreams of Dark

by Rhi, Age 14 , Grade 8

Deep dreams for sleep shall we never receive

the lullaby's once told

soon tainted with stains

Heart strings once held soon break at the touch of a violin bow

Forever forgotten

may we dream

Break thee heart

and seethe

daunting tales engraved in our hearts

the stories of the dead and escaped lives

they bring the tears and all else with them

for they can't have their lives

nor their soul it seems

Life after the afterlife

shall only be a darling dream
